Dust Bunnies and Toothpicks

I just got through cleaning a part of my house that I frequently stay when I'm there. It's a corner in my family room where I can watch TV and do my work. (Heck, yes! I can multi task)

I was fiddling with and cleaning my laptop but I couldn't quite understand why...even after wiping the screen and cleaning the keys, dust would accumulate after 30 minutes. I looked in a corner near the window and OMG...

minute particles of dust came flying all over the room. I got my vacuum and started to clean the window sills and glass, crevices and corners, all nooks and crannies. I peeked under the couch and there were dust bunnies hiding. The vacuum sucked dust balls, pennies, pens, pencils, paper clips, pieces of paper, gummy bears, potato chips, M&Ms. I reprimanded my daughter and reminded her to not eat in the family room while she watches TV or DVD. I think she heard me as usual, but when will she listen? Sometimes I'd really like to smack her head with a broom.

...and toothpicks....ewwww!!!

...I swear...

Hubby has this nasty habit of picking his teeth with toothpicks...drives me crazy!

My Daily Addiction

I have an addiction to coffee. This helps me tune up my brain everyday. I cannot start my day without my grande-3-shots-non-fat-caramel machiatto. I'd be a wooze all day. Actually, even if I wake up early in the morning, my mind does not function before 10:30 AM. That means whatever you tell me before that time just passes in my left ear and out to my right.

Perfect example...My daughter asked me this morning if I could help with her "something subject" assignment. I must have said "Uhuh, Okay!" because this afternoon when I picked her up, she asked me if I bought the items for her History class. ~sigh~

So that was the "something subject." I don't even remember if she kissed me goodbye. ~another sigh~

It's 2AM and my mind is at its sharpest. As the day wore on my energy level soars. Funny, but...seems to me like the whole world is in a slumber.

Cappucino? Mocha? Latte?

I never refuse. Count me in!

Abused and Misused Answer

I was flipping TV channels this morning when I came upon a game show host being interviewed about how she felt regarding getting another ad endorsement that paid her millions. For the nth time, she said with a tad of arrogance, "GOD IS GOOD! I'VE BEEN BLESSED!"

WTF?????

...and so the millions of other starving people in other parts of the globe are just plain forgotten because they're not blessed...

OH PUHLEEZE...How can one person be favored from another? This God must be crazy!

...must be one of those days...

I Got Robbed!

I don't gamble because I have this doomed feeling that I suck at it.

But today, I lost to a one armed bandit because the stupid progressive jackpot is up to $12,000,000. After dinner at the Rio Hotel, I was standing by the lobby waiting for my hubby to come out of the john. I saw lights flashed on that $12 mil billboard. It beckoned the fool to come over! So I slipped $20 bucks.

I lost while he was still the can...

Oh well...

SONOFABITS!!!

I suddenly had the urge to stomp on a damn DVD and smash it to smithereens.

There I was comfortably sitting in my soft couch, a drink and popcorn on the table, DVD in the player, remote in my hand. I started the play button and gleefully anticipated the DTS Surround Sound intro.

Blue....just blue.....Nothing!

Tried again......

Pressed Play......Forward.......Backward......Play......

Blue....just blue.....Nothing!

Got irritated but tried again......

Pressed Play......Forward.......Backward.....Play.......

Nothing......................................SONAFABITS!

Doesn't it piss you insane if you find out that the DVD you rented couldn't play because it's damaged? My night of complete relaxation turned into a struggle to keep myself from getting violent with a darn DVD. What infuriates me is the fact that I have a thousand DVD collection and I end up renting a damaged one.

Damn!!! ~fuming~

Something Stupid

I've done something stupid again.

I was looking at my throw pillows in the living room and got tired of the color. "It needs change," I thought. I went to JoAnn's to buy fabric for my throw pillows. I even bought trimmings and edgings that would match it for $9.00 a yard. Total cost $290.00.

I got home and unloaded my haul. The shimmering fabric was fabulous and the trimmings and edgings would compliment it for a new perfect color scheme in my living room.

My daughter said it was a good choice. Then she asked, "who's going to sew it?"

Cheese's Cries!!!

Now I've gotta go back and return it. ~haaaiiiii~

A Thought

I am tolerant and open-minded because I would never propose to completely ban any sort of entertaining or intellectual work that I do not agree with. I have a choice to look at or read about those works if I want to.

I'm also tolerant of other opinions that is vastly different from mine 'cept the ones that condone crimes and promote intense hostility and aversion because of race, color, religion, and sexual preference (gees...I sound like a hiring manager telling a job applicant about affirmative action)

But If it were up to me I wouldn't allow children or anybody younger than 17, to read books or pamphlets that promotes hatred because it would corrupt the young minds and harm them as human beings. Children and minors should be taught right from wrong and should be molded into decent human beings first before we give them a free hand and let them fly off the coop. Arm them with enough thinking power before we let them fight a Pseudo psycho babble war or they'd be like walking zombies ready to embrace evil.

Sampling My Neurosis

'Nuff about my last two blogs.

Everyone should just convert to the worship of Me.

It's the religion that makes the most sense.

Is Nietzsche Right?

There was a time in history when the belief of Christian religion was forced upon the people by conquerors, fanatics and lunatics, or else meet the edge of their swords or be burned at the stakes. Had I lived at that time, I would have been fried.

Throughout the course of history, religion has been the source of a lot of wars. Ever wonder why there is so much war going on because of religion? Ever wonder why people's love for (a) God is always unrequited? Because he does not exist!

Religion teaches love, humbleness, forgiveness, charity and all those supposedly good traits to make us better people, instead it breaks us apart.

The Muslims, the Christians, the Jews, the Buddhists and any other religion, cannot expect people to submit to its theocracy or force its teachings. For me it makes no sense to believe in assumptions and assertions to the exclusion of any other viewpoint. To not question why we make the choices we do, why we believe the things we do, denies our inquisitive nature. The contradictions may be endless. And while I may not be right all the time, I respect what other people believe in. However, some of my opinions don't make me wrong and them right, or vice versa. It just makes us different, and we take different approaches toward the same thing.

To lessen chaos and to end poverty and hunger should be our first concern. But as it is, there's too much fighting and bickering, killing and genocide. What the heck is going on in our world? There's so much fuss about god and religion. Can't we, as a human race, just all get along?

Nietzsche once wrote that God is dead. He is wrong! God is not dead. He never existed.

Jihad Over Cartoons No Less!!

CNN News
Muslim anger on cartoons spreads
No apology over Mohammad images, says Denmark
Friday, Februay 3, 2006; Posted: 1:33 p.m. (18:33GMT)

PARIS, France (Reuters) -- Denmark said on Friday it could not apologize for cartoons in a Danish newspaper depicting the Prophet Mohammad as outrage spread across the Muslim world from the Middle East to countries in Asia.

More European newspapers published the cartoons on Friday, arguing freedom of speech was sacred, but angry Muslims staged violent protests against jokes they consider blasphemous.
Depicting the picture of the prophet is prohibited under Sharia law.

http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/europe/02/03/cartoon.wrap.reut/

----------------------cut for brevity---------------------------------

CNN has chosen to not show the cartoons out of respect for Islam. ~WHAT A PUTZ!!!!~

But here it is:

After much thoughtful introspection, here is my two cents:

I’ve been following this story like a lot of people and have read opinions on both sides of the discussion. On the one hand you have those that say that publishing the cartoons is wrong because it offends the Muslims. On the other hand you have those who say that it’s called freedom of speech. To the Muslims, a perceived attack on their faith is tantamount to physical harm on someone. So the Muslims express dissatisfaction over what they term as disgustingly objectionable to their religion, a grave insult to Mohammad, and a noxious waste that poison their beliefs...through violence, kidnapping, killing and mayhem…ergo…jihad. See the outrage of muslims:

It’s all but normal if one finds the cartoons offensive so they write protest letters, boycott, or hold a rally, but quite another to threaten and kill because one doesn’t fit their pedagogical dogma. I won’t be surprised if the cartoonists whose work ignited the flames and set off the fury of the Islamafascists go into hiding. Heck, they probably have a bounty on their heads. A fatwa of death! Why can’t they just launch a newspaper competition for the best Holocaust cartoons, or the best Christian mockery theme just to get even.

Pray, tell! Do they honestly believe that if they do Allah's bidding and bomb all infidels, they would go to heaven and have 16 (do I have the right count???) virgins each? ~Sonamagan~

A blog from Mere Muslim.info regarding the legitimization of violence is an eye opener as to (one of) PROBABLE CAUSE why there is Islam violence. The fact of the matter is, quote, "the violence committed in the name of Islam over the centuries still pales in comparison to the crimes carried out in the name of Christianity. The fact remains that the Bible is the only scripture that contains a God-approved act of suicide in order to kill enemy civilians (Judges 16:26-30). The true irony in all of this is that the misguided Muslims who have committed horrible acts of violence in the name of Islam in recent years are following a modern Western influenced re-interpretation of Islam which took form during the late colonial period (i.e. after Christian powers invaded Muslim countries and started to exploit them). This undeniable fact has been documented in a number of books and articles, by Muslims and non-Muslims alike." unquote.

Check your history!

In conclusion, if the West stand up for its beliefs, customs and mores, including freedom of speech, the Muslims should not impose their way of life on the West. The Muslims also publish cartoons that are far more offensive. So what's the bickering all about? Islamic Imperialism? Christian Supremacy?

Stupidity, what else! Religion is so fucked up!!!

A lack of education combined with a fuck up fanatical religion is like giving a loaded gun to a child. Bang! Bang!

15 Minutes of Fame

I confess! I am one of those who watch AI. The show is hilarious because you see people that are detached from reality.

Have you ever wondered why most people that audition for and flunk the show American Idol are people that THINK they can sing and that they have what it takes to be the next American idol? Are they kidding? Most of them could not even carry a tune and they think they’re really good! Nothing wrong if you dream big, but for crying out loud, one should put a reality check once in a while. I'm not saying I could sing better than most of 'em (well..probably I do...but hey, I'm not the one auditioning!), but you won't catch me putting on delusions of granduer and then getting shot in the face by an a$$.

The funny thing is the worst of the lot are the ones that cuss, cry, put on attitude and say that the judges are going to be sorry if they become big stars. WHY, OH WHY do they even think they could sing a note even if they sound like cows mooing, cats meowing, dogs barking, crows cawing, or horse neighing? Don’t they hear how awful they sound when they sing (voice drowned by the water in the shower, perhaps?)? or are they just tone deaf? My husband and I couldn't help but roll on the ground and laugh out loud specially afer you see the horrid looks of Simon, Paula and Randy, and then Simon, with his ascerbic tongue, brushing off the poor looser with a very funny, however nasty insult. What a riot! Oh MY GAAAADDD!!!!

Well…we wouldn’t be enjoying it if not for these nut heads. Thank you nut heads!!!

Really now...15 minutes of fame must give them a rush. Tee Hee!!!
