A Stupid Picker Upper

I envy people that won mucho bucos in lotteries and progressive jackpots. I sometimes dream that it was me in their place. Then money would be one less thing to think about.

The easiest way to lose everything in an instant is to gamble. Gambling addicts, no matter if they win or lose, always needs to play the odds.

Here in Vegas, casino sound of coins clanking contribute to the euphoric atmosphere and beginner's winning luck is actually a hook, a line and a sinker to first timers. What they don't know is that for every winning experience, a strong positive stimulus producing endorphins in the human brain is released. Just like the alcoholics and the drug addicts, for a few hours they forget their day to day problems, the intensity in feeling is an emotional roller coaster ride. While you're at it, it's an emotional picker upper. Then all of a sudden, you find yourself fall back to earth...depressed!

I live in Vegas...but I don't even gamble. I like walking on the strip and downtown. The lure of millions of different color lights beckon.

But...I miss the greens..........~sighs~
